Accessibility Statement

Cartography Mechstrategen aims to be usable by everyone. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Implemented measures include:

• full keyboard operation, visible focus outlines and a "skip to content" link
• screen reader labels and announcements when the year or selection changes
• text contrast of at least 4.5:1
• animations are switched off when "reduce motion" is enabled
• German/English switch with correct language markup

Known limitations

• The star map itself is graphical. Individual systems cannot be focused directly on the map, but every world is reachable via the search, and its data then appears as text in the side panel.
• Faction colors on the map come from the original Sarna.net maps; names appear in the legend and info panel.
• The map graphics (SVG) contain small labels that are not exposed to screen readers.
